Your goals should complement your ability in regard to knowledge, time, and resources. Yes, your goals should be ambitious, but make sure they’re achievable as well. It’s important to find that balance between ambition and what you know you can achieve. If you have a very ambitious goal, save it for a longer time frame, such as a 5-year goal. For example, you may want to triple your sales this year, but if it was difficult to reach your goals this year, this may not be a realistic goal. Perhaps you want to increase your sales by 50% this year and make tripling sales your long-term goal.
