Who’s Your Best Source of New Customers? Your Current Customers!

One of the most important tasks you have as a business owner is finding new customers.  However, it’s a task that many people dread.

For all the strangers you’ll reach out to, you may only get positive responses from a few. If you advertise on social media, your post may get several “Likes,” but your response rate may be low.

Why invest so much of your time and money in strangers when you can tap into an endless resource of customers right in front of you?

Once a customer, always a customer.

Your current customers are the best source of new customers for your business. Why?

Every single day companies vie for our attention and our dollars. It’s become so overwhelming that our brains may not even register the advertisements anymore.

If fancy expensive ads don’t work, what does? A recommendation from a friend. Think about it: If your bestie has a glowing complexion with nary a wrinkle in sight, do you ask her what she’s using or do you hit up Google for recommendations?

If a mom at playgroup snapped back into shape after having her third child and you notice she drinks a particular shake, do you talk to her about that shake brand or do you continue to wish those lbs away?

Chances are you’ll talk to the person you know to learn about their experiences and why they use the product. Current customers are more likely to buy from people they know and recommend the product to others.

People are 4 times for likely to buy when referred from a friend

A recommendation is a powerful resource–it shows the customer trusts the product so much they want to get others to use it, too! As network marketers, it’s also much easier to get them on your team, since you come from someone they trust.

Instead of shilling to strangers, stay in touch with your current peeps!

Consistent contact is crucial. It’s the most important activity you can do in your business. By staying in touch with your customers, you’ll stay on their radar. Now, we don’t mean harass them daily with your current line of products; we mean send a short, thoughtful message to them via text or Facebook to let them know you’re thinking of them. That’s it. So simple right?

Morning Jane! Just stopping by to wish you a fantastic day! 😃

The benefit of this seemingly small action is that when they talk to someone with the problem you solve, guess who’ll they’ll think of? Not only that, they’ll buy more from you and sing your praises to everyone they know.

83% of consumers are willing to refer after a positive experience—yet only 29% actually do.

Only 29% of customers actually refer people. A lot of network marketers avoid asking for a referral or a simple introduction, instead they spend their efforts elsewhere and miss a huge opportunity. The use of a simple message can help you get referrals easily! You’ll be surprised on the responses.

John, it’s been a pleasure working with you and I want you to know that I’d be honored to help any of your friends or family too.
