Add Another Power Hour to Your Week

What is one of the most important things that you can do for your business on a regular basis? No matter what kind of business you have, you have to generate sales. This means connecting with everyone in your network. Many salespeople know that they have to make these connections daily. However, they may not do it. Often they will say that they are too busy, but in reality, they are too distracted to connect with their network. Move to the back burner. We’re all busy, which is why it’s so important to prioritize those things that drive our business. Your daily Power Hour is one of those things. If you want to thrive in the year ahead and beyond, making time for your Power Hour is critical. Here’s how to make your Power Hour part of your day, every day.

How to get started

In order to make your Power Hour a habit, you have to get started. This is one of the most important and most difficult steps for many network workers. Habits start on day one and become more natural each day you do it. To make sure you start, put it in your calendar. Now, that does not sound fun or exciting, but once you carve out time for it you are more likely to do it. Using your calendar app on your smartphone, set an appointment. You only need an hour or less. If an hour is too much, set two appointments for thirty minutes each. You will get a reminder on your phone before the appointment. Take that time to log in to Teamzy and prepare to start connecting.

Set the appointment so that it is recurring. If you are just starting out in network marketing or have a small database, set the appointment for three times a week. This will ensure that you are connecting to everyone in your database within the amount of time set. Be sure to keep your network’s information updated so that you can truly connect with them.

Making your Power Hour a habit

Now that you’ve done one and gotten the hard part out of the way, it’s time to work on making it a habit and doing it daily, or as often as you’ve set up for. When you get the notification the next time, be sure to stop what you’re doing and prepare to contact your network. That’s why it’s so important to make sure that you set a time that is most convenient for you. Now it may be the same each time. Or it could be different times depending on the day. Set a time that is convenient for you and be sure to stick with it.

Even after you’ve set the appointment it can be easy to put it off or ignore it. This is not how to grow a business. Think of the appointment as a date with yourself. Don’t stand yourself up! When you get the reminder notification, then you know you’ll need to start working soon. Get connecting with the people in your network, especially your advocates who help to grow your business.

Put the focus on making someone’s day

Many network marketers are hesitant to do Power Hours because they don’t want to seem pushy or like they’re bugging someone. In reality, the people in your network want to hear from you. Additionally, you’re not trying to make the sale. You’re just trying to build your connection with them. You don’t need to worry about seeming like a pushy salesperson when you’re just reaching out to make their day. Sales are important, but the relationship you build with your network is even more important.

When you make someone’s day you’re just stopping in to say hello. You don’t necessarily need to engage in a conversation, you just need to say hello and wish them well. Our scripts start with “hello” and end with well wishes to have a great day. This shows the other person that you mean more to them than just another sale. You want to meet their days.

Although some may respond right away, others may not, and that’s fine. They may be busy at the moment. However, it doesn’t mean that they didn’t see the message. They may just be busy and intend to reach out when they have a bit more time. But even if they don’t you are top of mind.

Make it easy to connect

The easiest way to connect with someone is on their terms. By popping in to make their day with a short message you are letting them know that they can connect with you when they wish. This is not traditional sales cold calling where you call at inappropriate times and people avoid you. This is sending a message to make their days and make them feel good.

Sending a message makes it easy for them to respond to you. The ball is in their court and they can respond when it’s convenient for them.

Be consistent

This is key. In order to build trust and generate more leads, you have to do your Power Hour consistently. Even when motivation is low or you feel you have too many other things to do. This is why it’s so important to make it a habit. That way you can be sure that you’ll get it done. If you want to achieve your goals and create a successful business, you have to put in the time every day.

Add another Power Hour to your week

Once you get the hang of doing your Power Hours regularly, there may be times in the year when you want to add a few more. Or if your network is getting larger, then you may need to add another in order to reach everyone.

The benefits of adding more

Adding a few more to your week makes sense, especially if you want to grow your business. If you’re doing three each week, then adding another will provide the opportunity to reach more people in your network. Every time you connect with someone in your network, it increases the chances that they will buy from you or join your team. Most importantly, it helps build your relationships, as the more times you connect, the more trust you have the opportunity to build. And what’s better than that?
