How to inspire your team to achieve their goals

Like you, your team has ambitious goals for their network marketing businesses. Some may want to double their networks this year, while others may want to double their incomes. Still others may want to build a network of strong advocates for their businesses. Whatever their goals, they may not know how to go about it. After all, it’s one thing to set the goal, it’s quite another to achieve it. The good news is they have someone like you on their side to inspire them to keep striving. The bad news is that you may not be sure how to keep them motivated. After all, it may be difficult to keep yourself motivated and inspired sometimes.

Don’t worry; we’ve got you covered. Here’s how to keep your team motivated and inspired to achieve their goals and build strong network marketing businesses.

Become an inspired expert

They say knowledge is power, and in business especially, it is. The more you know, the better prepared you are to build a strong and thriving network marketing business. And, the more you can help you team overcome the challenges they may face in their journeys to success. To do so, you’ll need to become an expert of your industry and in relationship marketing.

“Knowing is not enough; we must apply. Wishing is not enough; we must do.”

-Johann Von Goethe

Be an expert in your industry

If you want to thrive in your business, you’ve gotta become an expert in your industry. Learn all you can about it and stay up-to-date about the hot topics of the day. This means reading everything you can get your hands on, listening to podcasts, and following the experts in your industry on social media. Seek out new information and, if you’re not sure about something, know where to find it. This not only will help you in your business to display your expertise and build trust with your network, it’ll also inspire your team to do the same.

Your team looks up to you so the more you know about the industry, the more you can share with them. You’ll also be able to steer them in the right direction and help them find answers to their questions and solutions for their biggest challenges.

Be an expert in relationship marketing

Relationship marketing is intuitive, especially if you naturally strive to operate a business with heart. But, there are ways to tap into it even more effectively. The more you practice relationship marketing, the better at it you’ll be. And, the more effectively you’ll be able to answer your team’s questions and challenges.

Teamzy was created to help network marketers build their businesses and relationships at the same time. It’s more than a CRM that helps you organize your business; it also offers additional tools to help you work more effectively and efficiently. This includes training courses intended to help you build and grow your business while you master network marketing. Take them alone or with your team to help you take your business to the next level while connecting with other motivated network marketers.

Remember, the more you commit to personal growth and development, the more you’ll be able to improve and grow your business.

Share your knowledge

As you’re gaining knowledge to help you in your business and industry, be sure to share it with your team. This has two major benefits:

  1. It’ll improve your team’s knowledge and expertise and will inspire them to learn more. If they’re curious about where you got your information or want to learn more, share your sources and encourage them to find out more.
  2. It’ll help you process and remember what you’ve learned. Of course, we commit what we learn to memory by doing. However, we also commit it to memory by telling other people about it.
  3. Sharing with others will help you figure out how to best incorporate what you’ve learned into the business. This also helps your team as well because they’ll also figure out how to best incorporate it into their businesses.
  4. Sharing inspires your team to share as well. When you share your knowledge with your team, they’ll feel inspired to share as well. It’s at the core of building a network marketing business from the heart.
  5. Not only will you inspire your team, you’ll also stay inspired as well. Whenever you learn something new, you’ll be excited to share it with your team, which will make you even more excited to learn more to share as well. Think of it as a circle of inspiration!
  6. Sharing gives you a reason to follow up with your team. Following up is essential for building a thriving network marketing business. That includes following up with your team as well. Learning something new or sharing knowledge gives you the perfect reason to follow up. If you’re not sure what to say, you can start with “Hey, I learned this interesting fact today” or “Guess what I learned today” and then provide a link to the article or podcast or whatever. See how easy that was?

“Your value will not be what you know; it will be what you share.”

-Ginni Rometty

Share your triumphs and challenges

The road to success is never smooth. It’s full of twists and turns, peaks and valleys, potholes and speed bumps. This is as true for you as it is with the most successful business leaders, including Oprah and Elon Musk.

When you see a successful network marketer, it’s natural to focus on the success and feel as if luck played a major role. However, what many credit to luck is often tireless, hard work. But, you don’t see the hard work someone else does, unless you’re with them all the time.

The more success you achieve in network marketing, the more you should share your experiences with your team. Share when you’ve won, but also share the challenges you’ve faced as well as what you did to help you overcome them. Chances are, your team is going through the same thing, or will at some point. To hear that you’ve experienced the same thing and have found success after overcoming it, will keep them motivated to keep going when it gets tough and inspire them as well.

Think of how inspired you are when you hear about someone overcoming a challenge to achieve success? It’s not only heartwarming, but it also makes you feel inspired, like you can do it as well. We learn a lot from the experiences of others, and when we hear others’ experiences, we file away the solution in case we ever experience it ourselves. The same is true for your team. When you share your experiences with them, they’re likely to remember what you did to achieve success and overcome your challenges. Then, when faced with a similar situation, they’ll know what to do.

Follow up to keep them inspired

Following up is so important to your business. It’s vital to help you build relationships with everyone in your network, whether you’ve just met them or you’re old friends.

Just as we advocate following up with your customers and prospects, we also encourage you to follow up with your team of distributors. Following up shows that you care about them and their businesses. It shows that you want to help them achieve their goals and reach success as well. You want them to lead businesses they love; businesses that are from the heart.

Checking in shows them how to run their businesses. Every time you follow up with them, you’re showing them how it’s done. When you pop into their messages, you’re showing them how to make someone’s day. You’re showing them how to build trust while building a business. And, you’re showing them how to lead a business with heart, from the heart. In turn, they’ll feel inspired to do the same, whether they’re checking in with their customers, prospects, or distributors.
